There is always a lot going on in 5th grade. Please be sure to check your child's assignment notebook and backpack often for classroom news, updates on our projects, and to see what your child is working on at school.
Homework Reminder: Your child has homework every night. Our Reader's Workshop (reading program) requires 30 minutes of reading each evening if your child is on grade level, or one hour each evening if your child is below grade level. Please be sure that your child is reading and help them by signing their reading calendar.
Your child will also have math homework each evening. They may also have homework due for other subjects depending on what we are working on in the classroom. You can help your child by looking at their completed homework and have it ready to return to school the next day.
